It is a great pleasure to welcome Oliver Holle, Managing Partner at Speedinvest, a leading venture capital fund for early-stage startups in Europe, as the newest #EcosystemGiants guest speaker! Join us on Tuesday, 3 November 2020 at 5pm GMT (6pm CET) to hear from one of the most successful European venture capitalists on the lessons learned from a multi-million dollar startup exit and growing a VC firm from €10M euro to more than €400M in capital.
With more than 15 years of entrepreneurial experience in the mobile and internet industries and 10 years as co-founder Speedinvest, Oliver is a leading expert in Europe's technology startup scene. In 1997, he founded one of the first European internet startups. After two successful mergers, 3united was sold for €55M to US giant VeriSign in 2006, and Oliver worked for the company in Silicon Valley for several years overseeing their mobile business and more than 600 employees. In 2011, he returned to Austria and secured €10M from private investors to found Speedinvest. As of 2020, the early-stage venture capital fund has more than €400M in capital, +150 portfolio companies, six offices in Europe and San Francisco, and is one of Europe's most active investors, according to Dealroom.co.
The 'Ecosystem Giants' sessions highlight the ecosystem members who redefine the tech investment landscape and aim to democratize access to the venture industry for early stage founders and junior VCs. An opportunity to get to know (albeit virtually) some of the most seasoned VC investors and high-growth founders.
Supported by:
Kaiku, an early-stage investment preparation and fundraising platform
Startups Magazine, a digital and print magazine helping tech startups connect the dots on their entrepreneurial journeys
ParlayMe, an interactive tech news and networking platform for Startups, Entrepreneurs, Investors and Business Leaders
If you or a contact of yours would like to take part as a future guest speaker, do reach out.
**As part of my day-to-day role at Amplifier, I would love to hear from founders building solutions for a more *sustainable* supply chain.
If you missed out on the previous #EcosystemGiants sessions, see the recordings from September, August and July.
