Ever heard of the term "Gen Z VC"? The next #EcosystemGiants guest coined it in her first article (which featured insights from 70+ young investors on the trends they’re watching!) and started the Gen Z VCs Slack community for tech leaders born in ‘95 or later shortly after (which now counts 7,000+ members!). It is very exciting to have the opportunity to welcome Meagan Loyst (VC, Lerer Hippeau) at #EcosystemGiants at 7pm CET (6pm BST) on Tuesday, 11 May 2021! At Lerer Hippeau (one of the most active seed and early-stage VC funds, based out of New York City), Meagan focuses on seed stage investing - with EdTech, the Creator Economy and Pet Tech being some of the spaces she’s looked into. She is passionate about increasing diversity in VC & Asset Management and on the Advisory Board of Girls Who Invest. Meagan is also the founder of Gen Z VCs, a global collective of 7,000+ Gen Z investors, founders, angels, students, and aspiring VCs -- and now, a movement. She has been featured in Business Insider 8x, most recently as the "Queen of Gen Z VC" as one of the top 29 up-and-comers changing the world of venture capital, and in Cosmopolitan as a Gen Z leader on Clubhouse in the U.S.. She previously worked at General Atlantic (growth equity), J.P. Morgan (asset management), BayBoston (growth equity), and Perry Capital (hedge fund).
